Profile: The Rehabilitation Counselling Association of Australasia is a professional body representing the interests of rehabilitation counsellors who have obtained formal tertiary qualifications in rehabilitation counselling

The Principal Aims of RCAA are to:

• Promote the profession of Rehabilitation Counselling and its unique contribution to human service / health service delivery in Australasia.

• Represent the interests of the profession of Rehabilitation Counselling.

• Maintain the professional integrity of Rehabilitation Counselling through setting and safeguarding the highest standards of education and professional practice.

• Provide relevant and expert advice to governments, policy makers, organisations, groups and individuals on issues impacting on rehabilitation and rehabilitation counselling.

• Contribute to research and the growth of expert knowledge, for the benefit of individuals and society, in the fields of:

• Rehabilitation Counselling profession and practice

• Rehabilitation

• Disability and Injury management

• Disability service delivery

• Other human service areas.

Our members work in vocational rehabilitation and employment services in both government and private sector, corrections, education, health, disability services, and in community settings and private practice.
