Asia EdNet Discussion Group - Expression of Interest

Seeking an Australian Secondary School interested in taking 20 students (14-18 year olds) to Beijing 17-26 July, 2011.

The Beijing Municipal Education Commission in association with the Australian Institute for Educational Leadership (AIEL) are seeking a school interested in partnering with them to offer twenty (20) oftheir students the opportunity to visit Beijing and attend an actionpacked summer camp.

This camp will involve over 1000 international students drawn from all over the world, providing students with a rich range of cultural experiences and activities. Accommodation will be home stay.

Participating students will have the opportunity to visit iconic cultural sites like the Forbidden City, Great Wall and Summer Palace. It will also enable students to experience traditional Chinese
culture, language and art forms such as Acrobatics, Beijing Opera, and knot tying.

The costs of the accommodation, food and site seeing are subsidised by our Chinese hosts. Schools will be asked to pay for international  travel approximately $1600 -$1800 per student (depending upon their state and booking time) to cover the cost of flights and administration.
