Core Skills for Work Invitation
Last year the Commonwealth Government, through the Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research and Tertiary Education and the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, commissioned the development of an employability skills framework to make more clear and explicit a set of non-technical skills and knowledge that underpin successful participation in work.
The Framework, described as Core Skills For Work, has now been developed by Ithaca Group and is available to be applied across education, training and employment sectors.
In August/September Ithaca Group will be conducting some working sessions on using the Framework to develop learning products. The practical, hands-on sessions are aimed at those who are responsible for developing learning programs and activities, resources, and tools. They are not intended as general information sessions.
